Green tea and me


I've noticed these past few weeks that I've been drinking a crazy amount of  tea and coffee. This can't be good. 

I've always been a fan of herbal teas, especially Green Tea and Peppermint Tea and more recently....

I've been leaning towards Lemon Tea as well!

I've been reading up about Green Tea and it has so many good health benefits. I thought I'd share some of my findings with you!


Improves brain function which makes you smarter!
Fat loss (my favorite reason, hehe)
Lowers risk of cancer
Has powerful antioxidants, which protects your cells and help against ageing and diseases
Protects your brain age, lowers risk of Alzheimers
Green Tea kills bacteria which improves dental health (reduces bad breath)
Lowers your risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Helps you lose weight and lowers your risk of becoming obese
Helps you live longer

I still have a regular cup of tea in the morning with my breakfast, but during the day and evening I have my herbal teas and I feel so much better for it!

I'm into Alokozay Green Tea at the mo, which has a really nice taste to it. I have found that some leave a bitter aftertaste, but I haven't found that with Alokozay (their Lemon Tea is good too!). They had an offer on in Carrefour recently, where you got a free glass mug with the box! I'm a sucker for a freebie! I do love having my herbal teas from my glass mug though, it tastes so much better!
