1st October

Hello October indeed! Seriously, when did that happen?? After what seemed like the longest Summer, September finally arrived, but has well and truly whizzed past and now we are well into Autumn!

Living here in the desert, I just can't seem to get my head wrapped around the fact, we are now in the latter part of the year and it's time to start wrapping up in winter knits, rocking the burnt oranges and the deep browns that deck the shops. I just can't do it. For us the Summer is always a ridiculous, intense, dramatically over the top heat and I personally, can not be bothered to get all dressed up in my summer clothes, as to be honest they just get ruined and are constantly needing to be washed! So for me, as the temperature is knocking off a few degrees, is now the time to start wearing my Summer clothes.

Saying all that though, I do miss the Winter months. The seasons. As they don't really happen here. They just tend to be hot or hotter. We do have a few trips planned to Spain over the next few months, so I am really looking forward to that. Finally get to wear my boots and dig out my hats! Love the Spanish Winters. Still cool, but with the sun shining, perfect.

Along with me being very weather focused, lol (I'm still very British aren't I!? Hahahaha) I'm still thinking loads about my dressing room in Spain. It's not the biggest of spaces, so I don't want to clutter it up with loads of furniture. I'm really starting to think though, I want a small area for my laptop, a mini office space if you like. Under the window, I wasn't initially going to have any furniture, maybe some sort of ottoman or chest, but now I'm thinking of a small, simple, acrylic desk. So I have somewhere to sit and blog and with it being clear, I'm hoping it won't seem to 'overpower' the room too much. I've recently joined Pinterest (not to sure what I'm doing though, ha!) have a peak at me here and I've been pinning lot's of ideas to my 'Dressing room inspo' board. Let me know what you think!

So that's pretty much me today, I'll be surfing the Pinterest boards looking for lot's of inspiration.

Have a great day peeps!

  1. I'm always envious of you having the sun but I must admit I also love the seasons. I love wrapping up all warm and cosy in the fluffy knits and comfy boots. Autumn is just beautiful x x
