.... Did I miss something?!

Erm.. where has the week gone???!!!  Seriously, I cannot believe it's our weekend already!
Ramadan is now over and Eid started on Monday. Hubby got two days off, some people got three and others the whole week! A bit disappointing hubby's company and probably a few others only got the two days, but hey, it's still bonus days off and slowly get's him back in the swing of full days back at work, after a month of reduced hours!

Mufti day!

Yay, it's Mufti day!
Now, I was completely unknown to the term 'Mufti day' until my hubby started to say it on a Thursday. With our weekend in the UAE being a Friday & Saturday the last day of the working week is Thursday, dress down day at hub's office. Or 'Casual Friday' to the western world.
At first, I really thought hubby was making this up, (but I turned to trusty Google and voilá it was there, a true meaning! well I never).  Hubs said, that's what they called it at his school when you had 'wear your own clothes day' or 'non uniform day'. Ours was 'tag day'. It always baffled me why you would call it 'wear your own clothes day', as isn't your school uniform your own anyway? Lol! So now, every Wednesday night we always say, Yay, its Mufti day tomorrow!!

White Inspiration

It's all about the small changes

As Summer is clearly upon us and holiday season has well and truly started, I'm sure we're all looking down and grimacing at our wobbly bits that we vowed would be gone by now!
To be honest, I'm no supermodel and have my fair share of muffin tops, a pot belly and  wibby wobbly legs! I'm not really a gym person. I'd go a couple of times and then never make it back! I would love to be one of these girls who loves the gym and can motivate themselves to go everyday, but that's just not me.

Monday Madness

So, this morning started off with a major drama for me!
While sitting down with the first cup of tea of the day and catching up on internet stuff on my trusty little laptop, the usual morning cat fight begun. As I jumped into action to break up the fighting kitties, I tripped over the laptop cable and it flew out of my notebook! (and for some reason it will only work if its plugged into the mains! It has no life on it's own, there goes me being able to take it on my travels, lol!).

Weekend round-up

Helllllooooooo!
How was everyone's weekend?
Well, if I'm honest, ours was very quiet to say the least. Hubby's had a major cold and fever the past week and it's still lingering around today. Like a good boy though, he's powering on through and still going to work and not moping around in bed.
We stayed in all day Friday and even though we are home-bodies, we were starting to suffer a bit from cabin fever lol. On Saturday we made the effort to head over to the pool. The heat is so intense here now, we were literally in the pool the whole time!

Some exciting stuff though! Our local 'Choithrams' supermarket,  which kinda stocks a lot of ex-patty stuff,  have recently  teamed up with Tesco! Yipeeeeeee!!!!!

Chit chat, this & that

Wednesday! Crumbs! Seriously, the weeks are flying past rapidly at the mo! Not that I'm complaining or anything. I actually love how quick this year is going and we'll be back in sunny Spain before we know it!
Today we're taking Lily to the vets for her booster. Bless her, I hate it when they get their jabs. Poppy was a nightmare (and still is) she's screams and wriggles, the claws come out and I actually fear for the vets arms, cringing inside as she pounces on him like a crazed lunatic! I'm hoping Lily will be a lot calmer!

Fashion fancy

While perusing the internet at my favorite fashion websites,  I've noticed more and more that the simple, braided, friendship bracelets are available.
I love these kind of bracelets.  There's so many different designs and colors  out there, at very purse friendly prices!

Catch up

I hope everyone's having/had a fab weekend! Ours was fairly relaxed and chilled.
Other then refereeing the continued cat fights between Poppy and our newest fur-baby Lily, (which is being very tiresome to say the least!) we have been relaxing over at the pool, spending most of the day floating on the lilo and planning our future.
