If you're a regular follower of Suncream and Sparkles or just popping over for the first time to have a nose, (hi btw!) you will see that I am clearly no fancy photographer, my words aren't award winning and the layout is somewhat basic. But I still love my little blog.
For ages I was taking all my photos on my phone, but recently have treated myself to a lovely little Canon EOS. I love it, even though I am still trying to get in the habit of taking it EVERYWHERE (like a good blogger should, lol) and not feel embarrassed when taking random pictures, which I'm sure passersby are like, 'hmm, that's one for the album'!
I have a new desk and my own little 'blogging corner' in the dining room. Well, lounge/diner, our house in the UK is kind of open planned, so I'm not tucked away, haha.
I love to 'work' at my desk as it does help me feel more focused and organised.
I wrote not so long ago how I'd love for blogging to me my job! See it here... I know that's maybe a dream, but hey, I'd also love to be a fashion designer and have my own clothing line!
Dreams are good, everyone should have them...
Sorry if this is a little bit of a 'waffling' post! I know sometimes people are still like 'what is Heather doing with this, blog thing!?' 34 years old and putting her life, her thoughts, her ramblings out there! I'm sure they think I'm a bit weird, haha. I know we all have Facebook these days to document our lives, but don't you find that people don't actually like to see your pics, so why follow, baffles me! That's why I love having my blog - you guys follow/read my blog because you are generally interested in what I have to say and if I inspire you or just simply entertain you, that seriously makes me so happy and inspires me to carry on!
+ + make sure you leave me a comment so I know you've stopped by! even just your blog link so I can pop over to yours! ☺+ +
I'm going to take my blog in a slightly different direction. It's still going to be completely random subjects, haha - but in my last post about blogging, I said about when I stopped focusing on stats I started enjoying my blog even more - I'm going to apply the same method to my photography.
I am still going to practice with my photography, so hopefully over time we will see this improve, but sometimes if I've taken random pics on my phone, I'm going to share them with you all - like in my post 'Stroll by the sea'... they were quick iPhone snaps! But it's real, in the moment, totally unplanned... I know they say your blog should have amazing photos - yes I do agree - but why can't I put not-amazing ones up too?
basically, I'm gonna stop stressing out about everything
being so 'perfect' - and just go with it...
