Everyday when I scroll through Insta I see endless pics of stunning girls in amazing locations with the perfect hair, makeup and outfits too. Of course they look so effortlessly styled, but we know it's taken hours to perfect the look.
I'm not knocking them whatsoever, because they are working the gram to a T and I am totally cheering their success, they've done so much better then I ever could and hat's off to them, as they've clearly worked hard to achieve this.
But, and this is a big but, surely is that really their everyday style? Like the reality stars we all follow and love. Do they really wear gallons of make up and hair perfectly tousled for having a girls nights in or for picking up a pint of milk from the corner shop. Jury's still out on that one. But I know they are portraying a look, a lifestyle and I think we must remember this in the back of our minds. Just take inspiration and ideas from their pictures. Don't ever think this is how reality is - because it's not (I don't think anyway) I mean who really has time to put a full face of make-up on whilst running the daily errands and chores.....
So all this got me thinking. Thinking about starting to show my everyday style here on the blog. Prove that yes sometimes I'll get dressed up, but 99% of the time I am super casual, I think living in Spain does that to you!
I hope shorts and t-shirt mirror selfies don't become too boring and monotonous. Also hopefully it will inspire me to mix my style up a bit too.
