A bit of a continuation from yesterday's post - things are looking up - braces removed and some lush silver shampoo!
So today's post is a little bit of a mish mash of chat and catch up and also a little bit of a continuation from yesterday's We've moved to France post.
That's what I love about blogging, especially with my blog, that it doesn't matter when you post and what about. For me it's now like an online diary to share my thoughts and goings on with you guys. As well as being somewhere to record memories to look back on when I'm old and grey ☺
I hope yesterday's post didn't come across negative at all because we are so excited for the new adventure - we just need to get the setting up period out of the way! But we are getting there. We had success in Orange last night and now have TV yay! You don't understand how good it feels to be able to watch SkyNews on the actual telly lol. We've had french TV on and the odd program we've been able to change the language, but being able to watch the news in your own language and know what's going on in the world is a fab feeling. We feel like normal life has resumed.
I must add that we have found that everyone has been so helpful and lovely, even with our poor pigeon French.
We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
So along with our success with Orange we found a lovely Sushi restaurant called Kyo at Aeroville (our local-ish shopping mall). I picked up some L'Oreal silver shampoo from a hairdressers in the mall, which I've used today and I love it. It's lifted my blonde a treat! Then as we were leaving we spotted a Christmas tree! Yay! I do love a mall tree.
I also mentioned in yesterday's post that I've recently had my braces removed. I think they've come out a couple of months early which is fab, as I'm sure my last appointment should have been December. But I'm not complaining!
It did hurt when they came out, I'm not gonna lie. It brought tears to my eyes. I had to bite down hard on some cotton wool while my Orthodontist clipped them out and blasted them away.
When they passed me the mirror I couldn't believe the difference! Absolutely amazing!
I've had a short thin metal bar fitted behind the front four bottom teeth, which will stay there forever to keep them in place. I also have a clear retainer for the top set which I have to wear continuously for 3 months and only remove it for meals. You can imagine it's in and out, as I'm always eating! After the 3 months I just have to wear it at night.
Yesterday afternoon the plumber fixed our leaky tap in the kitchen and the bath plug too. So today after my log moving - if you watch my insta stories you'd know, lol. I had a lovely soak in the bath. I really have missed a bath (we just have showers in our Spanish house). I'm making sure our next home (that we buy) will definitely have a tub! Can't beat a good soak.
Happy hump day guys
